This week marks the close of the second week of DNNDeveloper. It has been a very productive week and we've learned quite a bit.
This past week we've completed the following:
1) All members of DNNDeveloper can now log in and manage their own profile. To do this, you may first need to do a "Reset Password" and provide DNNDeveloper with the email address you provided when signing up. Once in, you can update your profile and choose different categories. When you update your profile, it will be temporarily deactivated while we re-approve it.
2) On DNNDeveloper.com, we now have a forum where you can post your suggestions on things you'd like to see and what you'd like changed. You'll have to log in using your credentials above first.
3) Previously, when DNNDeveloper was accessed by its API, as long as the requester provided one criteria, it was considered an opportunity and distributed to matching partners. The problem that this caused was that many opportunities were only providing country information which resulted in essentially a worthless opportunity being created. We updated the minimum requirements to require at least two criteria be provided.
4) On the PowerDNN.com development site, we have implemented code that will allow customers to specify a textual description of what they are looking for. This will go live around the same time as DotNetNuke 6.0.1
Due to vacation schedules, during the next two weeks, there will not be any major enhancements occurring.
At some point in the future, we're considering the following:
1) Allowing developers to "Claim" opportunities. If you claim a customer and they fill out a survey, their information will be sent to you and only you.
2) Twitter/Facebook Integration.
3) Rewarding high performing partners. Partners who close the most/largest deals from the directory will receive preferential treatment. If you close a deal, make sure you let us know!
